Alison Black was born in Hertfordshire in 1965. Now living in Bristol, she worked in the media initially and started to exhibit painting around 6 years ago. She started with graffiti-style paintings but these have become more abstract as time went on. Her most recent portraits are strong, colorful, and vibrant like the characters themselves. Her images are a love song to the Big Apple and that includes its most famous inhabitants - its towering skyscrapers.
